Deziphon synthesizer

The Deziphon is a synthesizer, which is able to generate tones from 100 -190 Hz. Its basic idea is the design concept of reduction. This thought is translated into the subject of music and reduces it to the mere subsistence.

Music theory is based upon complex laws, which are being declared unnecessarily intricate in this context and are simplified as far as possible.

The central idea thereby is the decimal system. The octave becomes a decade system, ten notes, which commence at 100 Hz, increasing in 10 Hz steps. Chords and harmonies are abolished. Every note lasts for exactly one second. Songs that are being preformed on the Deziphon are still recognizable.

White rectangles and black circles on the outside govern the symbolic appearance, to underline the concept of minimalism. The core is an “Arduino-Board”
